So I’ve been delaying and postponing my very first post on my very first blog because I wanted it to express the right sentiment.  I wanted to show the best of myself and then I realised that if I kept delaying and postponing, my blog would forever be a hypothetical figment of my  desires.  An unrealised dream.  Well, I’m pleased to say that today I’m leaving my dreams where they belong – in my sleep!

So I’ve been thinking about what would make for a really readable blog and I think the answer is in the appeal.   You need to be able to appeal to a broad range of people.  A good blog is funny, intriguing and clever.  It has to be obscure enough for the intellectuals, aloof enough  for all the hipsters and confronting enough for all the politically (a)pathetic.

So what do you get when you take the ‘a’ out of ‘apathetic?’ Apthetic of course!  See? It’s funny because you expected me to say ‘pathetic.’  I’ll just wait for the laughter to subside before continuing.  Wow, that was the shortest wait, like, ever.

Now, I know what you’re thinking.   That I’m fairly apathetic (without the ‘a’) myself, right?  Woah, you are mean! What did I ever do to you? That was so not called for.

Until next time, keep thinking.
