SPAM – Unwanted bulk messages from faceless advertisers or wanted blog traffic from loveable and quirky internet friends?

1 minute read

Isn’t there already enough negativity in the world? Does every stranger, or more relevantly here, every spammer, have to be feared and loathed?

To this, I say ‘No!’ Rather, they should be laughed at and ridiculed for our own entertainment and amusement. It’s a victimless exercise! Win-Win.

So welcome to the first of many future editions of SPAM BAM THANK YOU MA’AM – where we turn SPAM into SHAZAM!

Here is a lovely comment I received in response to “Gleeko Etiquette #1” – Enjoy.

“Unquestionably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification appeared to be on the internet the easiest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I surely get irked whilst men and women consider worries that they just don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top and also defined out the complete thing without having side effect , folks can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks”

Dear Person and/or Automated Spammer,

Thank you for visiting Gleeko Blog and for the lovely compliment you have paid me by taking the time to comment on my post.

It pains me to say that I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I have to say, and only slightly regretfully, that I hold grave doubts that you even understood my prose at all.

I am however pleased that you were left with no side effects for having visited and “read” my humble blog post, though I am afraid the same can’t be said for me having read your comment.

How about we call this correspondence quits and you get back to what you do best, like getting idioms terribly wrong.

Forever puzzled,
Gleeko
